4th - Fall Radial Leaves

Students learned about radial symmetry, creating equal quadrants on a perfectly square page. They then created a radial symmetric pattern using leaf tracers. Using the technique of wax resist, students blacked out the background behind their leaves before creating natural veins throughout each leaf. The final step was working with watercolor, and blending colors to create a beautiful fall creation! Vocabulary: radial symmetry, quadrants, patterns, color gradient, and blending.
