Kindergarteners have been learning about primary colors, red, blue and yellow. For this project we expanded what we knew and created pumpkins adding color only using those primary colors! Students began with paining thier pumpkins RED.... adding yellow to create that bright, beautiful orange color! We then painted our stems BLUE adding YELLOW again to create a wonderful GREEN, or some kids added all the colors and their stems ended up brown! While the pumpkins dried we sponge painted our moons to create a creator-like texture, and collaged together our layered grass for the landscape.
