K - Jim Dine Hearts

For this fun Valentine's day themed project we learned about the artist Jim Dine who created "millions" of fun creative hearts throughout his career. He used the shape as a template for exploring color & texture, and so we did the same! Students focused on warm vs cool colors, and we blended create and explored the combinations of those colors by using oil pastels which blend in such a fun easy way! We finished off this project by getting a little "Jackson Pollock" and splatter painted some fun glitter & metallic colored paints.
