Kindergarten Prep.- Art Created in class
- 2, 4 and 5-year old students used their hands, feet, and fingerprints to create memorable keepsake art.
- 3-year old students were introduced to Eric Carle a famous author, and illustrator, and created their own masterpieces in his instantly recognizable collage style.
Kindergarten- Seascapes with Winslow Homer
Students were introduced to American artist Winslow Homer. Students combined a variety of colors to paint their watercolor seascapes. An introduction to origami was used to make sailboats in a variety of sizes. The sailboats were collaged onto the seascapes using perspective to give the illusion of depth.
1st Grade- Landscapes with Monet, Seurat & Van Gogh
Students discussed horizon lines, architects, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Their masterpieces were created with several layers in mind. They became architects and used geometric shapes for their houses.
