INTRO: To begin this lesson, students viewed a PowerPoint about the folk artist Laurel Burch which is taken from her book, "Fantastic Felines," by Laurel Burch. They learned about her art career and viewed the cat paintings that made her famous.
PROJECT: Students then learned how to draw a cat in the style of Laurel Burch. Using basic lines and shapes, students drew, painted, and then added glitter and borders to their paintings.
