Negative Space Snowflake Paintings

2nd grade artists created a winter artwork that focuses on negative space. Using snowflake tracers, they arranged and outlined snowflakes on their paper, leaving spaces between. They went back over their snowflakes with washable markers coloring many colors along the contours. When all snowflakes had colorful outlines, they used water to pull the color to the background, leaving the snowflakes white.
