Paul Cezanne Apple Still Life

1st grade artists looked at Paul Cezanne's apple paintings. They started their still life by painting their whole paper blue and using a texture comb to create movement in the background. Without cleaning their brushes, they painted several yellow circles, and watched as the yellow mixed with the blue to make green apples. They learned how to make a horizon line to put their apples on a table and painted it red. Last they used oil pastel to add detail and create shading on their apples.
