Pinch Pot Fish 2nd Grade

Students designed unique fish or other sea creatures by using the clay pinch pot technique.  The students added details by pressing textures into the clay, carving designs with tools, or adding coils and other pieces of clay using the score and slip technique.  The creatures were bisque fired (fired for the first time) in the kiln. The students then applied glaze to the bisque creatures and they were glazed fired in the kiln which give them their glass, shiny coat.
