Hoping With Haring 2nd Grade

Students learned about artist, Keith Haring and figure gesture drawing.  Figure gesture drawings are quick sketches of a figure (person). Students had a blast posing for each other and drawing each other.  They were very clever with their poses!  Keith Haring is well known for his brightly colored figure paintings and drawings promoting love and acceptance. Students created Ketih Haring background drawings with sharpie markers on white paper.  They drew 3 large figure gesture drawings, painted them with neon paint, cut them out and glued them to the white background paintings to create a collage.
