Students studied the perspective, value and color in Georgia O'Keefes New York city paintings and the intense color in Van Gogh's Starry Night. Students then practiced one point perspective, and then created an 18"x24" drawing. After finishing the line drawing, they incorporated value & volume using art pencils to create depth and interest to the finished piece. Finally, for their last piece, they created a landscape and after applying value with art pencils, they incorporated color with colored pencils into their finished drawings.
