K WOW

This gallery contains Wonderful Original Works of Art (or WOW pieces).  Students decide which artworks are their WOW pieces periodically throughout the year.  WOWs are artworks that students are most proud of, worked hard on, and improved over time.  Students create titles and fill out artist statement tags for these artworks.  Mrs Knight uploads the WOW artwork, title, and artist statement info to Artsonia.  Please know that students also make more artwork based on media skill-builders and experimentation that they keep in their portfolios.  Art portfolios and framed WOWs are sent home at the end of the year after our HUGE annual spring Celebrate the Arts Night.  Every artist's artistic process is unique, but students learn how to practice the following Studio Habits of Mind throughout the year in the art studio...
