Shadow Box - Cardboard Relief Sculpture

Students created a 2D sketch of a landscape on paper and converted it into a 3D cardboard box relief sculpture. The drawing's visual space was broken up into foreground, mid-ground and background. Carbon paper was used to transfer parts of the drawing onto cardboard layers. Next, students layered cardboard to create actual distance going into the depth of the cardboard box.
