2019-20 Virtual Art Show

I miss ARTS  FEST!! We usually have a wonderful art show along with a  music performance at the end of the year that is included in Arts Fest! Unfortunately, we have been unable to return to school to listen to Mr. Porter lead our beginning and advanced bands. We will not get to hear the fun songs that Mrs. Davis has been teaching the students all year. We will miss seeing all of the hallways full of all the wonderful art projects that our students have worked hard on all year!! Instead of the hallways... please check out the virtual art show.

Featured will be art from the last 9 weeks of school. I couldn't be more proud of our students and all that they continue to accomplish! Being at home did not stop their creativity, as you will see. They did an awesome job with all the lessons, but I will share a little about 4 of them. The first was of  making positive messages for everyone during these trying times...and the students did not dissappoiont me!. They followed up with making symmetrical  butterflies (which are also a symbol of new life, which I thought was fitting), creating 3-D sculptures out of whatever they had at home, and perhaps the favorite was finding items in nature and making them into something new. I heard so many comments about how relaxed they felt as they were working, or how they enjoyed being outside with their families, or how excited they were when they found something really interesting to include. Great job, everyone!! Way to use your good artist eyes!
