4Th Inspired Collage!

Students learned about contemporary collage artists, and were then asked to view this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udAL48P5NJU&t=1s on the SmartBoard. On such a large surface, the vastness of space is evident, and there are especially many "WOW!" type comments at the end, when the image zooms back to the Earth's landscape. Students were asked to be inspired by the short video, in any way that they wanted to be, and created collages with mixed media. Discussion also included the arrangement of their collage/composition, as well as creating interesting positive and negative spaces.
