	Lara Hammond Hello from Ms. Hammond! I got a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of South Carolina, Columbia (Go Gamecocks!) and then got my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Art Education from Withrop Univeristy. I am in my 9th year of teaching Art but my 7th year in Greenville County. My husband Jacob and I have 2 cats named Sully and Randall and a dog named Zowski (named after the Monsters Inc characters) that occupy much of our time outside of school. Artist Statement: I am an artist because it is my greatest passion and something I can have fun with and it is a joy to share this passion with others. My artwork is a compilation of the things in life that inspire me most. I love experimentation and therefore my works vary in media, theme, and style. As an art educator, I try to learn something new with every work. Since beginning teaching, my focus is growing my artistic repertoire and finding ways to pass each experience on to my students. More specifically, I enjoy working with needle felting, mixed media, book arts, printmaking, as well as painting. Using different media maintains my excitement and passion as an artist. Creating and passing on my knowledge is what I aspire to do with my life. It makes me happiest when I know someone else is enjoying or getting inspiration from my work. Send compliment

	Kimberly Wix My name is Kimberly Wix! I am originally from Laurens, SC but I now live in Simpsonville, SC. I attended college at Lander University and received a BA in Visual Arts in 2007, and a Master's of Art in Teaching degree in 2008. I began teaching Elementary Art in Fall of 2008, took a break from 2018-2022 and came back to teaching in 2023. I am married to my wonderful husband Jared and we have an awesome son named Parker! We have a Sheltie dog named Myles. We enjoy visiting downtown Greenville, going to the park, and going out to eat. Some of my favorite art mediums are Ceramics and Printmaking.
