Tiffany Graham
Artist Biography:
Tiffany Graham began formal training as an oil painter at Pomona College in Claremont, California, before moving to New York City where she attended the Art Students League. Upon relocating to San Francisco, she began her career as an arts educator. She taught visual art in the San Francisco Unified School District, and served as the Arts Program Director at the Creative Arts Charter School until 2012. She has been awarded numerous grants to fund these programs and projects, most notably a California Arts Council Individual Artist grant for four year-long collaborative projects including a 15' windmill housed in the lobby of San Francisco’s City Hall.
After moving to the Los Angeles area in 2013, Tiffany spent seven years developing a districtwide elementary art program for the Wiseburn Unified School District. Her thriving Art Angel program of 100+ parent volunteers enabled Tiffany to create and lead several large-scale projects and events involving the greater community.
Tiffany has also partnered extensively with non-profit organizations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Casa Hogar Orphanage, designing and directing project-based arts programs and murals, while commandeering fundraising, grant writing and program design.
Currently, Tiffany Graham teaches visual art at Horace Mann Elementary School in the Beverly Hills Unified School District. She brings her extensive background in art education to the work she does weekly with the 500+ TK - 5th grade students.
Tiffany also maintains a private art studio in Los Angeles, making yearly painting trips to San Miguel de Allende. Her oil paintings are in galleries and collections in California, New York, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest, and she has more than 20 permanent public installations in Southern California, the Bay Area and Mexico. While her own work as a studio artist has been focused on painting, she also has a formal background in drawing and sculpture, which informs her use of a rich variety of media in the classroom.

Description of Horace Mann TK-5th Grade Visual Art Program:
Our K-5 visual art program is designed to foster confidence and develop artistic expression through a high level of engagement, positive reinforcement, and peer learning. In their weekly art workshops, student-artists experiment with a variety of fine art materials and tools, while working with specific visual art techniques. They view and discuss works by both historical and contemporary artists, inclusive of men and women from all over the world. Through this exploration student-artists gain an extensive vocabulary of artists’ names, art movements and art terms as they come to understand the importance of both “process” and “product”. Grade-level units are standards-based, creating a scaffolded pathway of artistic growth and learning from TK through to fifth grade. Husky artists benefit from the rigor of instruction, while each being allowed the space to find his or her unique voice.
