Jen Volkmer
Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Volkmer and I am so blessed to be teaching art to some extraordinary students at Hoover Elementary! Prior to becoming an art teacher, I was a second-grade teacher within the same district. My first degree is a BA in Art History and Criticism from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I moved to Omaha when my husband wanted to attend culinary school and went back to receive my BS in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I completed my MA in Art Education from the University of Nebraska in Kearney. My favorite artists are Albrecht Durer and Jackson Pollock. In my free time, I enjoy painting, sewing, and spending time with my preschool son.
