Monica Thornton
My name is Monica Thornton. I am the art teacher at Butler County Middle School. I have been a part of this community for the last 15 years, and my family roots are here. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in painting, printmaking, and art history as well as a Bachelors in Art Education and a Masters in Teacher Leadership Studies. Prior to teaching at BCMS, I worked with other school districts to help develop community art programs and services to low income areas and completed my KTIP teaching drama, art, and English, in Spain.
I have a wonderful husband and an amazing four-year old. Life is busy and fulfilling. We are very much looking forward to visit my husband's family in England whenever we next get the opportunity to travel. |
