6th Grade Letter Sculptures

We had a choice in this project. We could either use a letter as a base to show some things about us or turn that letter into something else (ex. animal). We made lists and drew sketches in our sketchbooks. Then taking a letter from our name or nickname we made 3d letters that we built out of cardboard. Those were then given a light coat of papier mache to seal up the seams. After a base coat of color, we drew some of those original designs on our letter with markers or paint. Since this is a sculpture we had to work on the design from all sides.
