4th grade Literary Landscapes

We examined the art work of Vincent Van Gogh. We learned he was an unusual fellow who made very unique paintings and drawings. He used swirls,dots, dashes, and thick paint in unusual colors. We studied his famous painting "Starry Starry Night."We compared the size relationships between the objects in the foreground, middleground, and background. Then it was our turn to use what we learned to make a unique landscape. We filled our images in an unusual way-using Words-all colors,sizes, styles, and directions. Our focus was on variety. How many different ways can you write? Can you create texture? Enjoying reading our VAN Gogh inspired Masterpieces!
