LEAF CREATIONS
The P.S.151K artists enjoyed looking at pictures in MORTEZA E. SOHI'S book
"LOOK WHAT I DID WITH A LEAF".
They created collages of an animal, plant or a figure that demonstrate experimentation with:
- Placement of shapes
- Color
- Composition
- Textured materials
- Layering.
This art making activity helps the students to:
- Deepen imaginative capacities
- Engage in close observation
- Develop a personal style
- Connect visual arts to other disciplines
- Gain an appreciation of arts as a source of enjoyment and lifelong learning
