Chuck Close Collaborative Class Project using Tint and Shade

Each student was given a square grid to paint. Any colors could be used but students had to use tint to lighten colors on specific locations of their square and shade to darken colors in specific locations of their square. Once the pieces were done, we taped the grids together. If done correctly a surprise image of  a person is created. Students did not know who they would create beforehand and had no image to guide them.
