Art of the Ancient World

This slideshow presents our lessons inspired by Prehistoric times. It was our first unit of the Art Through the Ages Curriculum.  Many of the lessons for Prehistory art focus on simple materials like crayons or oil pastels for Kinder and line drawings with markers for the older grades. Drawing contour lines, animals and figures, creating different textures & patterns are some of the subjects and techniques explored in. From learning about the Lascaux Cave & prehistoric animals, students are set up for an exciting start to their year exploring art history!
