Dot Day Art Show

The beginning of this school year, our art was inspired by "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. This story follows the character, Vashti, who didn't see herself quite like an artist yet. She was encouraged by her teacher to, "Make a mark and see where it takes you..." which changed her thinking and allowed her to take that wisdom and share it with other aspiring artists that were once like her. Students at Amana Elementary took this idea and "made their mark" using simple circle and dot shapes. In this art show, you will find different kinds of dots created by K-5th graders that reflect their own individual style as well as highlight their artistic expression. We had so much fun creating these art pieces. We hope you enjoy the show!
