Our Valentine's Day inspired art was State standards based. 3rd grade created Love potions with paint, chalk and tempera soap mixture, 4th grade learned about Mosaics and created a geometric heart with oil pastel and chalk, 5th grade created a Love Bug. They learned the parts of a bug, patterns, lines of symmetry using construction paper and metallic sharpies, and 6th grade created a Mosaic geometric heart using watercolor, and metallic sharpies and learning about the color wheel.
