Ms. Buentello's Art 3 students studied the work of the Fauvist painters -- a school of 19th century artists who drew inspiration from bold color, loose brushwork and impressionistic forms. Students worked on depicting forms from direct observation on prepared mixed media surfaces. Students studied still life images and used tempera paint to interpret and develop the forms in the images in ways inspired and informed by the French Fauvist painters.
