Geometric Embossing

This metal embossing lesson has many layers of interest. Students will draw their own geometric design that has radial balance and then transfer that design to an aluminum sheet. Embossing techniques turn the metal sheet into a relief form. Unity is brought to the artwork through continuing the geometric design to the black paper frame, which provides additional interest and color to the artwork.
