Students first reviewed the element of color and learned that we use the primary colors to make secondary colors. Students then made painted orange, green & purple papers by mixing their primaries. Next students looked at the work of Eric Carle and how he uses his painted papers to make his illustrations & stories. We then drew different shapes on our painted papers for our flowers and/or trees landscape. Students drew different shapes, cut them out and glued them to a background. Then they used crayons to add some details to their landscapes.
