Graffiti "Piece"

Students begin the year by exploring the first three elements of art (line, shape & form) through the art of Graffiti. Through peer discussion and teacher feedback students brainstorm various code names, and eventually decide on one word that represents them. Students work in their sketchbook to brainstorm various compositions of tags, throws, and "pieces". They submit one of each and may transition one into a digital form using the class iPads.
