LA + Art Collab - Immigrant Experience based on Reading Group Books

Students created art works based on books they have read all focused around the experiences, journeys, and dreams of immigrants in and coming to the United States. They read their books in book club style groups in LA, discussing and digging deep into the topics and characters, completed the art work in visual art class, and then wrote thoughtful artist statements in LA.
