Art O Spheres

The 5/6th grade students were introduced to geodesics and the structure of a geodesic sphere. Each sphere was created with 12 geodesics. After a power point presentation, all 12 of those geodesics were filled with art information ranging from elements and principles of design to reproductions of famous artwork and popular art genre. After a great deal of hard work, the students assembled their spheres and completed a review worksheet. These beautiful creations were hung from the art room ceiling creating a floating art museum.
