4th grade students created amazing sculptures connected to our traveling art exhibit about Katsushika Hokusai.  Hokusai created woodblock prints featuring places in Japan that were important to him and his culture.  4th graders sculpted an artwork that represents a special place to them using at least 3 symbols to communicate their idea.  Their special places are range of locations from their homes to the imaginary world of video games.
