The artist successfully grasped the concept of working in the negative, creating the illusion of a guitar. The top part of the strings was made by creating the illusion of strings, while in the bottom half the strings were made with the tape. Additionally, the artist’s craftsmanship is evident, as each piece was placed carefully and the design looks well thought out and original. The strings leading down to the center of the piece allows the viewers eye to travel from the top to the bottom of the artwork with ease, creating an entrance.

The blending of light colors around the piece give the darker parts definition and really help bring the piece together and make it more clear.

The realism on this piece is insane. Your understanding of color and shading is really good and it is evident here. I also enjoy the background texture you have, it is less noticeable than the objects in the foreground but it helps separate the table from the wallpaper and has a unique texture. The small details on the comic books and statue were really well done and although they are smaller and may stand out less visually the attention to detail worked in your favor.

The sky is what really stood out to me here, the visual texture even when looking at a digital version and the way you layered the colors is so cool. You managed to create a sun and rhythm even with darker colors which was very well done. I also enjoy the bridge you added, I think it adds a nice center piece and helps separate the ground along with the river from the background well.

I love the light that you created!

Even without looking at this piece in person, the peaks of your paint really stand out, and the amount of effort and time that you put into it is evident. I also like that while the palette used is muted, its clear that there is a wide range of hues used that adds interest back in.

The curved and freehand lines of the tree create a strong sense of rhythm and repetition. The cool, muted colors and rough texture give the landscape a calm feeling. The composition shows balance and unity with the organic tree form and the surrounding space.

The yellow highlights on the tree and the grass is immediately what stood out to me. It adds amazing contrast to the darker black-ish colors on the other side of the tree and especially in the grass. This gives everything a visibly rough texture and makes it feel 3D against the light background which is also contrasting the tree and ground in a beautiful way.

The artist creates deep contrast with the use of a dark background and lighter foreground, and through the use of shadows and lighting. I also find the texture of the material you drew on to be very interesting and add a bit of blurriness to your composition. This works well with the use of color pencil and makes it seem like an actual photo!

The use of warmer/darker colors make a cozy mood in the painting. The use of value makes the stack of books look 3 dimensional.

The strong texture in the books and the pattern in the background add visual interest. The dark shadows and warm tone create a cozy, bold, expressive composition.

The use of shadows along with the dark lighting help to give the piece a dramatic mood. The texture along with the warm colors used remind me of the classical style. The attention to detail such as the writing on the small booklet in the bottom right corner help to support the realism.

This piece shows thoughtful composition, with the main subject clearly emphasized. The use of value helps separate the foreground from the background.

The technique that you used almost resembles cross-hatching and makes the portrait look geometric or like a collage of newspapers. It combines a style that is both abstract and realistic, almost historical.

I find really interesting how you used different values, from dark to medium to light, to make the face look smooth, regardless of the newspaper background. The highlights where the face comes out gives this drawing a sense of dimension that is very pleasing to the eye.

The way you've captured the light/shadows is stunning. The way you use previous art to make this is amazing

There’s such intense contrast in this piece, especially in the hair, and it’s clear that you made a deliberate choice to use dramatic lighting which resulted in that contrast. The proportions are also very accurate.

Amazing detail, your values gives this piece a strong sense of realism.

The composition has great line work that shows the folds and planes of the paper really well, making the form look very 3D.

The crumples are darker than the ridges sticking out, so it gives off the illusion of a crumpled paper. The strokes are more focused in the object than the background, which is somewhat solid. The value scale is used quite a lot.

I like this piece because of the different types of lines. The paper has more curved lines, while the background is all dark and straight and thick. The contrast is great, especially with the table as well.

Bold contrast and rhythmic line work create a striking interplay of light, shadow, and dimensionality.

Value tones were created and blended beautifully, and the entire paper is intricately rendered. The dark spots communicate form, as the planes that are away from the light are covered in darkness, and the planes and bends that stick out remained light. In between the mid tones create a sense of flow throughout the piece, and the cast shadows, of appropriate value, communicate depth.

This composition works well in part due to the high contrast of value.

I think that the shapes you used in the different planes really stand out and create depth.

It looks very similar to the works of neo-pop artist Romero Britto. Beautiful job, Juju!!!
