Billy, when we came for grandparents day at your school and toured the schools art show, we did not realize that your painting was done on a cloth and that you used glue to create the patterns and chalk as the dye. We were impressed with the geometric patterns you created. It was fun to see all your art work up close at the art show. When we saw this art work at home, we were even more impressed.

Billy, your sunflower picture is beautiful. The colors are so bright, and the flowers look like they are reaching out to the sun which is shining through a window near the table where the vase was placed. I like the way some of the flowers are open all the way, and some are buds not quite ready to open completely. We have seen some of VanGogh's sunflower paintings in art museums, and you worked very hard to create sunflowers like the artist did. Your sunflower picture is one of Grandma's favorites.
