This is a picture of my friends and I. There are many different contrasts in this photo such as the people being in black and white, and the background in color, which makes the my friends and I the focus. The artist is trying to say that the people are what is important in this photo and needs to be the center of interest. I think this is a successful photograph because of how the artist painted on the black and white effect very cleanly.

This is a picture of me sitting poolside. The water is very blue and vibrant. It gives off a meaning of summer and relaxation. I really like this picture because it gives off a good feeling and the qualities make me feel like it's a successful photograph.

Last week in class, we worked on our first photo shop packet. One of the activities was building a “new world”. You use a landscape picture with trees and, using the photo shop editor, you mirror the landscape, and then you turn it into a mini world. In this photo, You can see the bright blue sky. On the outside it’s a deeper blue, but lightens as you get closer to the center. Also as you get closer to the center, you start to see the white clouds that surround the center. Finally, in the center, you can see the trees which are so dark that they look black. I think this photo means that you don’t have to be satisfied with something normal. Make it exciting, different. Be exciting, different. I really like how the clouds look kind of like a vortex, and the world looks kind of like an eyeball. You have the eye, the pupil, and the iris. Definitely a cool ‘new world’.

1. This is a picture of 7/10 of the squad plus one. 2. Due to the black and white, I look to the background first, so that's like the main focus for me. I also like the composition of this photo. 3. I think the meaning of this photo is friendship and having a good time. 4. This is a quality piece of art because it shows friendship and it's very special.

Katie. Katie I like the edit that you did on this photo. But what I don't like is that the girl on the left is on there because you know I look ratchet but it is very good. What this picture means to me is that there is a great friendship and nothing can break that friendship bond. Great job.

1. This is a landscape picture of clouds and the sky. 2. There's value and contrast between the colors of the sky, clouds, and the dark houses. The center of interest is definitely the extremely bright and attention grabbing clouds. 3. I think the picture means a new day because it's a sunrise/sunset. The day is either ending in order for a new one to start or it a new day starting. 4. This is a quality piece of art because I love how it goes from darkish blue, to white, then to black. I think this artist is very successful because I really enjoy this piece of artwork and everything's clear.
