FOCUS; Patience & Follow-through. You're so much better at drawing than you THINK you are. Slow down and don't let yourself get so distracted all the time.

Thank you for engaging with the assignment. The next two Studio Habits of Mind to work on are Persist (goes along with engage) and Stretch & Explore. This is great, but try to let your resistance down a little, maybe even allow yourself to enjoy the assignments. I'm telling a lot of students that if you relax and fall in love with the process and it will exponentially improve your products- Not that this product isn't evidence that you grasp the concepts- but I bet you could do more, maybe even make something you're proud of- or have fun with. Everyone is encouraged to re-read pp.46-48 in 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' and repeat this exercise as often as you want to to build both your perceptual skills and your mental L-to-R mode shifting skills. Everyone is also welcome to re-submit this assignment (decorating, filling with zentangle, expressing & interpreting the positive & negative spaces of the vase/face illusion) for a higher grade before the end of the semester.
