There is shading in the hair and the figure has a nice white outline, the shading on the back of the neck is visible to. I wonder if you used a grid to work on the drawing. I would recommend making the jaw more round rather than extended.

Proportions look like they are where they need to be from the actual product. I wonder where you started when you began using charcoal. I would recommend blending the product together a bit more.

I like the way you did the hat and drew the pipe outside the box. How long did it take you to finish it? I think making it seem smoother would help make it more realistic.

Proportions and sizes are paid attention to well and everything looks like it is where it needs to be. I wonder how much time you spent observing inside details. I would recommend trying to do some blending.

I like how well the proportions line up with each other and look very natural. I wonder how you observed the angles leading to the nose to make it visually there. I would recommend the try and make the brow a bit less longer.

Wow Girl! SO much close observation, so accurate, so real. Just be careful, remember from our chapter on drawing development, don't get so caught up with the trees that you forget to see the forest. complexity & detail are great and certainly evidence of focus and mindfulness, but start trying to blend and transition values so that they model the form too- and... don't lose sight of the objectives & directions- this is a little "flat" not because of a lack of modeling but because there's not foreshortening in your pose. Did you start with the viewfinder? I think there's evidence that you "get" the picture plane, because your proportions are so accurate, but we can't tell whether you understand the picture frame, because there's nothing here to prove you chose a composition without the rectangular format behind your hand. Don't get me wrong- this is all feedback to help you improve and remind you to trust the process- none of it is meant to criticize or shame you- this is an EXCELLENT drawing and much more focused and naturalistic than your usual style. Keep up this hard work Kiddo. Be proud.

I like how you did the hair. Why did you not include the body? I think it could be better with more shading.

T - I love it! The hats my favorite part. A- Why did you choose to do it in lines instead of blending? G - Nothing, it's super awesome.

Each time you did one you got better. The Bishop/Cardinal (third one) really has a sense of depth and form. Thanks for working so hard.

Thank you for taking this seriously and working so hard on it. Everyone is encouraged to re-read pp.46-48 in 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' and repeat this exercise as often as you want to to build both your perceptual skills and your mental L-to-R mode shifting skills. Everyone is also welcome to re-submit this assignment (decorating, filling with zentangle, expressing & interpreting the positive & negative spaces of the vase/face illusion) for a higher grade before the end of the semester.

Heyyy pookie! I really like your Courage the Cowardly dog in the drawing. He looks very similar to the original art in the show, and I think that it shows your interests very well. Why did you use watercolors in your realistic quarter? I wonder what it would look like if you used color pencils for that quarter aswell.
