Good effort, You may want to try re-adding more paint to your brush every 2-3 strokes, your looks a lille like a "graduated" wash, which is our next skill. It might be a good idea to keep practicing flat washes once or twice till you feel like you get it.

I like your door & hitch, but I'm not sure about the steps, but it does make it more "campy" (see what I did there) and cartoony rather than hyper-realistic, I assume that's what you were going for.
