The pot’s design is simple, but the glaze gives it a more complex look. I like how the color varies across different sections of the surface. It draws attention to the craftsmanship behind the slab construction. The piece feels both functional and decorative.

This piece has a unique texture due to the tool used to sand the outside. In addition, the pot has a nice circular base with a curved top which compliments the overall piece. Furthermore, the mouth continues to decrease in length from right to left, which was also a well chosen choice.

The light colors of glaze are all different, and together, and they make the piece resemble something that came out of the deep ocean. The texture of the circles on top of the piece look like seashells which add to the ocean theme of this piece.

The shape of this piece is very unorthodox and unique because it almost resembles a high heel shoe. The abstract shape adds to the character of the piece, and one can interpret the shape with their own perspective. The dark, smooth glaze adds a common theme to the piece.

The shape of this piece is highly unique because it follows an irregular pattern. Rather than following an even mouth, the unevenness provides a creative scope and the shiny look is highly admirable. Furthermore, one side of the piece is longer than the other, which is also beautiful.

The elongated oval-opening gives it personality and a more abstract, left to imagination look.It looks almost like a fish in my eyes.

This ceramic piece has a tall, uneven structure with a slanted openning that creates a strong sense of direction. The surface is heavily textured with vertical lines, giving it a rough, tactile quality. It feels experimental and focuses more on being functional.

This ceramic piece has a tall, uneven form with a curved opening that leads your eye upward. The outside has a rough texture, while inside is darker and smoother, creating contrast. It feels expressive and more focused on shape and movement than being functional.

The shape of your pot looks aesthetically pleasing. The texture on the pot gives it a velvety feel. The glaze looks very dull and pale which goes well with texture of the pot and add a lot to the character. Nice work.

The shape of the pot is so cool; it almost looks like a purse or bag. I think it will definitely need some sanding but other than that it looks very nice.

I love how you made this pot your own, truly bringing the organic nature of it to life. The solid, yet subdued outside glaze makes the vessel look visually pleasing. However, it doesn’t compare to the multicolored and exciting crystals on the inside. I believe you did that on purpose so the outside doesn’t take away the beauty from the inside. Your pot almost looks like a bassinet in a good way, giving some feeling of warmth despite the dark color scheme.

The carved shape of the pot is very unique and it adds a lot of attitude. I love the inside of the pot and the different designs the glaze made.

The pot is very nicely done. The unique shape make it visually pleasing, as well as having an artsy feel to it.

The vessel features an elongated, asymmetric form with a wide mouth that contrasts with the narrower base while facilitating cohesion with the interior and exterior glaze treatments. The surfaces with subtle, vertical ridges on the body enhance the piece’s tactile interest while visually contributing to the pooling and breaking of the glaze, further adding dimension and depth. The contrast between the darker interior glazing of the pot and slightly lighter exterior is well executed with natural, earthy tones.

This piece utilizes unique asymmetry to create a sense of movement, as the elongated curve pulls the taller half of the pot upward and the other half stays low. The glossy surface reveals layered hues of deep brown and green, giving the vessel a moody atmospheric presence. The ridged texture along the exterior of the opening enhances the hand-built character of the pot, while also allowing light to catch on top of it.

This art piece is nicely done but the major part of this piece is the glazing as it is so colorful yet gives a calming-like effect. The way the glaze reacted created a mesmerizing effect that really captures the eye. Even with that crack that is visible, it adds character. Creating a theme of the calm after the storm.

The dimensions you did on your illusion is amazing! I can really see the shades you did on your piece. The layers of the colors are so neat and well done. The black and shade really bring the whole thing together.

The piece is very beautiful, the lines in the composition add a bold contour. There is an illusion of two eyes that I view. The values of the overall piece are greatly emphasized. The two circles in the center of the spirals add a sense of balance and unity.

There is so much dimension throughout every corner I see. The eyes are very well executed throughout all of the lines. I love how the eyes were expressed with the lines and with the color. The curved lines in the eyes create great dimension that really show that they are eyes and not just lines.
Posted 3 years ago by Valentina (fan)
The use of expressive lines is very impressive and helps build the narrative you are trying to enforce. The dynamic lines work really well together. Overall, the composition of the lines is very harmonious and contributes to the message of the artwork. The bold eyes still stand out even with all the linework surrounding them.
Posted 3 years ago by Anya
The intricate technique used to emphasize the areas surrounding the bold eyes creates a very trippy optical illusion. While looking at the eyes, I can make out a flies eyes. The blacks, whites, and grays creates a great sense of depth. This is some great work, your effort is applauded!

It's fascinating how the 3D lines in your project create an illusion of depth and space. The overlapping lines and varying thicknesses add texture and dimensionality to the piece. The contrast between the light and dark lines also creates a dynamic visual effect. Overall, your 3D line project is a stunning example of how art can play with our perception of reality.
Posted 3 years ago by Ava (fan)
I especially like how you created contrast by layering the colors into one section rather then just filling the corners in. It shows your control and restraint in the medium. This reminds me of an optical illusion and I wonder what message would come across if you changed it from horizontal to vertical. Great job!!

The shadowing and the shading is really mesmerizing to look at. All four also contrasting each other looks really good and its obvious to tell the improvement by the end.

The eyes really bring a lot of intense emotion and picking them out has to be ultimately the best part of this gorgeous piece of work. The black and shadowing really brings the whole thing together.
Posted 3 years ago by Nishi
The variation of dimensions used in you artwork displays an illusion. It is neatly displayed seeing that it is one line all together with no breaks or pencil marks. The gradients nicely blend into a lighter shade. The shades are what shows to be depth.

I really like the intense fluidity of your lines. You demonstrate multiple value tones in each of your boxes, some with less lines for light and some with more lines for darker tones. Your arrows in your movement at the top show your understanding of movement in these lines. This practice is very pleasing to look at because of its fluidity and movement.

I really enjoy how the themed background works well with the main focus of the artwork. The characters in ethnic clothing match the cultural earrings attached to the vibrant clip. The googly eyes were also a creative addition that adds a subjective element to the otherwise well-coordinated piece.

The decision to give the orange clip eyes provides the portrait with a greater sense of life. I like all the vibrant colors blended together to create one piece. The happy people in the background provide a sense of joy as well.

I love the meaning and cultural aspect to this elegant piece of artwork. The beautiful earrings bring a sentimental and amazing background to the work as well as the dress the woman is wearing in the background. As color begins to be added to this art it will take an amazing form and the ground will be a good background to the focal point.

I enjoy the bubbly shapes in the background of the piece. The way the shapes are oriented help guide the viewer to the hands in the piece. The composition of the piece is also impressive with detail being focused on the subjects and keeping the background similar.

I enjoy the realism in the lighting scenario, the way the head on bright light also illuminates the background is very believable. The strokes and flow in the background helps guide the viewers eyes to the subject. The coloring is also very pleasing with the orange on the top and desaturated brown on the shadow area.

This piece tells a story to me of different types of personality’s. I find that very interesting because just from looking at someone’s hand gestures you can tell what the artist is trying to say. The difference in these gestures push a very creative and interesting way to describe these peoples emotions and or personality’s.

I really like the contrast built in this piece. All that surrounds the beautiful butterfly is bright and vibrant while everything near the giant spider appears dark. It brings out complete opposite aesthetics within one piece, so you can easily look at it in a bright colorful way or a dark and dull piece of work.
Posted 3 years ago by Ava (fan)
I love the cultural aspect of this piece, it adds personality and nostalgia for a viewer that may be able to connect with it. The intricate detailing on the on the earrings adds a velvety texture, and the detailing is very realistic and stunning, it is clear a lot of thought was put into small things, such as the stopper falling onto the grass. The piece has a gentle movement, with the couple slowly walking away in the background, stopper falling, and the earring being in a specially chosen position rather than standing straight up.

I love this artwork and how it has lots of different textures on it. It feels 3 dimensional in a sense. Lastly, I love how you added background as well of the earring backing and the 2 girls holding hands.

The artwork really pushes the idea of perspective by utilizing foreshortening of the table, to enhance the three dimensional aspect. I thought that the cross hatching in this piece, effectively demonstrates depth in the shadows creating dark and dense areas. The use of contour thickness and weight display a nice flow in texture like the asymmetric and curvy lines of the wooden table top.
