I believe every child should have an opportunity to express themselves. In my classroom, I try to offer as many different types of projects as I can so that students will eventually find something they can really get in to. I love Art and I try to convey a love for it to my students.

I have a B.A. in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have been teaching at Providence Middle for the past 17 years. I chose the middle school level because I feel it's such a pivotal age in the life of every student. I enjoy being here with them. Watching their energy and seeing the inevitable changes that come over them as they go through the task of growing from a child to a teenager.
