Welcome to Artsonia!

I hope you enjoy your visit and will check back often. Artsonia is an amazing way to show off the incredible works the students here at Torringford School create. I update Artsonia regularly.

I have been teaching in Torrington since 1996 and I truly love being an elementary art teacher. I have an internal need to create. I enjoy dreaming up new projects for my students then watching to see the fabulous work they produce.

I believe art education is an essential part of development and discovery for everyone. Art education provides the gifts of vision, appreciation, joy and problem solving. Students develop perception, resourcefulness, communication skills and the ability to think critically as they engage themselves in the art program.

In addition to completing my sixth year degree, I create my own art. I am an equine cartoonist as well as metal sculptor.
