Amy Vecchioni is the visual art teacher at Waters Fine Arts School in Chicago. She teaches visual art to K-8th grade students in a student-centered choice-based format. She teaches design thinking in the STEAM arts integration model and enjoys teaching youth about eco-artists, folk artists, vernacular artists, art activists and modern art movements. Students experience Makerspace opportunites, TAB studios and Genius Hour projects as they create artworks using a growth mindset throughout their experience in the art room.
