I really enjoy uploading my students' artwork on artsonia. It is an amazing tool to use to motivate my students to do their best in art and to show the community and their parents what the young artists are doing at my school. I love it when my artists come back to school the next day and share with me how "cool" it was to see their artwork on the internet and how their grandparents from out of state can view and leave comments about their work. The students take great pride knowing that their artworks ... read morecan be shared with everyone. A little about myself, I received my master's of science in art education from Northern Illinois University. I've been studying French, painting, and drawing in Aix-en-Provence the past two summers at the Leo Marchutz School of Painting and Drawing. I am also a founder of a non-for-profit organization call LensOfVisionExpression (www.lensofvisionexpression.org), where I teach children from developing countries who are affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty art and photography.
Overall, I can't imagine myself doing anything but teaching art and learning about art. I hope you enjoy our school's web gallery and please feel free to leave any comments for the students or me:)
