My name is Mrs. Wortinger – you can call me Mrs. W. - and I am so excited to be teaching Art at SMS. I am married to my husband of 23 yrs., Jeremy, and we have two children – Zoe & JJ. My daughter, Zoe attends Palm Beach Atlantic University on a basketball scholarship and my son, JJ is a Senior in high school. Both of my kids love to play basketball. I have taught Art at the elementary level for four years. This is my second year at SMS teaching middle school art. I absolutely LOVE teaching middle school!! Our students at SMS are so talented in many different ways. I am always trying to find new and interesting projects for my students...projects that stretch their creativity by using different types of mediums in their artwork. I love to see what/how they will create their projects. They amaze me!!
Thank you to our parents for your support in the Arts. Our art program is not funded by our district, so as an art teacher I have to be creative and come up with ways to fundraise for art supplies for our students.
