As an educator and artist, I believe that art is at the heart of innovation and human connection. In my classroom, creativity is more than self-expression—it’s a way of thinking that brings together science, technology, engineering, mathematics, language arts, and history. I encourage students to take risks, think critically, and find their voice through visual storytelling and design. Whether they’re learning about color theory or creating digital art, my goal is to help each student see themselves as both an artist and an innovator.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Visual and Public Art and a Master’s degree in Education and have been teaching in Milpitas Unified School District since 2011. Beyond the classroom, I serve as a graduate lecturer in educational technology at Santa Clara University, where I help prepare future teachers to integrate creativity and innovation into their practice. I’ve been honored for my work celebrating Latino heritage and for empowering students through the integration of culture, art, and technology.
