Meet the Teachers  at Peter Muschal Elementary School (Bordentown, New Jersey)

Kate Sakowski Hi everyone! First, I would like to thank all the teachers, parents, and families for their continued interest and support of Peter Muschal School and its ART PROGRAM! I really could not do the job I do without all of you working with me to help our over 600 students realize their potential, whether it be artistically or otherwise. I have been teaching in Bordentown for 10 years, starting at the high school level for part of the first year and have spent the remainder of my time at my home here at Pete ... read morer Muschal. Our students are grades K-3 but from the looks of their artwork you's never know it. I always joke that schools cannot get rid of the arts programs because we don't just color and draw, it's all about problem solving. I challenge my students to think and try to answer their own questions and figure out creative solutions so that as they develop as artists and thinkers their artwork can evolve with them. I try to gear my curriculum towards historical, artist inspired, and geographically directed projects while still throwing in some "fun" creations here and there.
