Hi! I'm Mrs. Lawrence, the art educator at Paddy Hill Elementary School! I've been teaching art for 19 years and have not lost once ounce of love for what I do. Before teaching, I worked in advertising for 12 years and enjoyed that job as well. Being an art teacher however was my dream so I decided to return to school and acquire my masters in art education.
Along with teaching art I have a small business on the side where I create glass beads and jewelry. During the summer you can find me selling my work ... read moreat local festivals so stop in at my booth and say hello!
I love yoga, running, painting, reading and scary movies! I like funny movies too......I love laughing and good jokes :)
I believe that everyone is an artist, that mistakes are your greatest teacher and that the word perfect should be removed from our vocabulary.
I like...well, love...... those who try hard, smile, learn from their mistakes and embrace their creations........
I dislike drama, bad moods, mean people and the self critic that lurks inside us all.
I want to share and encourage the joy the creative process can bring to YOU....lots of smiles....a few mistakes....and loving what you've created!
