Art reaches out to every child and is a personal way to express themselves and who they are. Currently I teach at Loudon, Salisbury, and Webster Elementary Schools in the Merrimack Valley School District, Penacook, NH. This includes about 550 students, grades k-5, that I teach weekly. In the school year 2001-2002, I was honored with the New Hampshire Art Educator of the Year Award. Also I have written lessons for the publication School Arts with one lesson gracing its cover. I have been active in the N ... read moreH Art Educators Association and given workshops and also a member of The National Art Education Association. I was chosen to participate in a week long seminar called "Connecting Collections" in NYC. This involved study at 5 art museums in the city. Artwork was donated to the Concord Hospital Family Place in memory of a student and we continue to donate to that department in various ways. I will always to strive to improve and keep relevant new ways to teach art to your children. This includes student involvement in lessons, assessment, and integration in the academic classes. Thank you for letting me teach your child the wonders of art. Please check out my school web page to let you know what is going on in the classroom as well as Artsonia.
