Raquel Garabeli
Hello! My name is Raquel Garabeli, and I’m excited to be the Middle School Visual Arts Teacher at Learning Gate Community School.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, with a concentration in Sculpture, from the University of South Florida. For more than 10 years, I have had the privilege of teaching visual arts to students of all ages—from kindergarten through adults. This will be my 3rd year at Learning Gate, and I am honored to be part of a school community where nature is our greatest teacher. In our art studio, students are encouraged to observe the world around them, explore new materials and techniques, and create meaningful artwork inspired by nature, environmental stewardship, and their own experiences. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and collaborative projects, our Heron Scholars learn to think creatively, take thoughtful risks, and express themselves with confidence.
