I have been teaching at Johnson City Schools since 1989. I decided to become an art teacher in High School. My then art teacher, Mrs. Docekal showed us her art work, and some made by her art teacher friends. It occurred to me the art teacher can do what ever projects she wants! My Dad always said to choose a career you enjoy, and it will never seem like work. I enjoy having a project to do, and I love seeing what creative things the kids do with the projects I choose for class.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Art Education from Buffalo State University and a Masters, also in Art Ed from Marywood University. |
